• IELTS stands for ‘International English Language Testing System”.
• It assesses English language proficiency for study, work or migration in English‑speaking environments.
• The language course has two fundamental types, that are,
  • Academic (for getting university admission, study, and professional registration), and
  • General Training (for migration, and work).

Note: Listening & Speaking are the same in both; Reading & Writing differ.

• Total test duration (excluding Speaking): 2 hours 45 minutes.
• Listening, reading and writing skills are assessed in one go the same day, without nay break in between.
• Speaking is generally scheduled on the same day or may be setup any time before or after above skills assessment, depending on test centre’s schedule and capacity.
